ABSTRACT |
Patterns of memory impairment suggests that dissociation among multiple memory systems, such as short-term vs. long-term memory, declarative vs. procedural memory, episodic vs. semantic memory, etc. In this article, the evidence for such dissociations is reviewed from the perspective of multi-sytstems theory of memory, and the distinctive features of memory impairments in common neurological disorders are discussed. |
