ABSTRACT
Epilepsy surgery is increasingly being employed in the management of patients with refractory partial epilepsy. As careful work-up of the presurgical evaluation has immense importance, detailed understanding of the many useful evaluation modlaities are strongly needed for the epileptologists. Both non-invasive and invasive methods will be discussed. First part of this workshop will be focused on patient selection, presurgical evaluation including scalp/sphenoidal and intracranial EEGs, and strategies for surgical therapy and second one on functional cortical mapping.
